Hi, welcome to Pendle Pottery Studio, a ceramic studio in the heart of Pendle located in the village of Barrowford. In this delightful, workshop, perfect for both beginners and those returning to working with clay, you will have the opportunity to create a truly unique statement piece for your home, or as a gift for a loved one.This workshop is a chance to take time out for yourself, do something fun, learn a new skill, and connect with your creativity. These bowls are designed to be both beautiful and functional, using slabs of clay and formers you can select from a choices of botanical templates to create your centre piece. You will be expertly guided and supported step by step to create a pottery piece you can be really proud of. The studio is run by professional ceramic artist Stella Townshend who trained as a fine artist and holds a masters degree in Ceramics, she now specialises in ceramic work making both functional and sculptural pieces from her studio. Pendle Pottery Studio is fully equipped with a fabulous range of tools, materials and equipment, everything you will need to create beautiful and unique creations from clay. Stella is an experienced teacher, who will guide you through each stage of the process of constructing your piece. These classes are suitable for complete beginners through to more experienced potters and aim to ensure that you will have a fun, creative and enjoyable experience whilst you are with us and make the most of your time in the studio. The course is run as two separate half-days, during the first session (approx 3 hours) you create your platter bowl. On the second session (approximately 2 hours) you return to apply a glaze in your choice of colours. The bowls are then ready to collect approximately 3-4 weeks later.

Cancellation Policy
All bookings made via this website or in person include a 20% non-refundable deposit*. We are only a small studio and cancellations impact on both our ability to ensure courses are viable and our ability to fill cancelled spaces at short notice. Cancellation of any place on a workshop must be made in writing by email to pendlepotterystudio@gmail.com. You must give a minimum of 14 full days notice before the start date of your workshop to be eligible for any credit or refund . A credit will be offered to use towards another workshop or if this is not an option a refund will be given less any deposit. Cancellations not made in writing and/or given with less than 14 full days notice are non-refundable. * If a workshop session is cancelled by the studio then you will be notified as soon as possible, usually by email. You will be offered either an alternative date for the same workshop or a credit for an alternative workshop or a refund. ** Occasionally we have waiting lists for courses, should we be able to fill your place from our wait list then we will refund all of the money you initially paid and you will not lose your deposit.
