Service Description
Join us at Pendle Pottery Studio in this two hour class where you will use beautiful porcelain clay to create your very own set of handmade Christmas decorations. This course is perfect for beginners and for young people aged 12 and above. You can choose to use a range of beautiful patterned rollers or evergreen leaves to create delicate texture and print on the clay surface, select from a range of cutters and templates to create unique shapes with something to suit all tastes and styles, or choose to design your very own. The studio has a range of letter stamps to add text and personalise any decorations if you wish to make these as gifts for friends and family. Each participant can make a maximum of 12 individual decorations which will be approximately 5-7cm in size. The decorations will be fired at the studio ready for you to collect in time for Christmas. All classes are delivered in our workshop room and the studio is well equipped with all the tools and materials you need for this course. Enjoy warm mulled wine or spiced apple juice and mice pies whilst you create your unique heirloom decorations. The cost of this course includes all clay, any other material’s used and firing of the work, there are no additional charges. I am an experienced ceramics teacher, and run my own professional ceramics studio. The courses I offer are delivered in a relaxed, fun atmosphere at a pace that suits all ability levels. I keep class sizes small at around 10 participants to ensure everyone gets the support, time and attention they need to produce ceramic work that they can be proud of. Cancellation Policy
All bookings made via this website or in person include a 20% non-refundable deposit*. We are only a small studio and cancellations impact on both our ability to ensure courses are viable and our ability to fill cancelled spaces at short notice. Cancellation of any place on a workshop must be made in writing by email to pendlepotterystudio@gmail.com. You must give a minimum of 14 full days notice before the start date of your workshop to be eligible for any credit or refund . A credit will be offered to use towards another workshop or if this is not an option a refund will be given less any deposit. Cancellations not made in writing and/or given with less than 14 full days notice are non-refundable. * If a workshop session is cancelled by the studio then you will be notified as soon as possible, usually by email. You will be offered either an alternative date for the same workshop or a credit for an alternative workshop or a refund. ** Occasionally we have waiting lists for courses, should we be able to fill your place from our wait list then we will refund all of the money you initially paid and you will not lose your deposit.
